Dr. Robert Fan graduated from California State University, Los Angeles in 1988 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. In 1998, he graduated from the Medical College of Ohio where he received his M.D. and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He worked as a research technician at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, and proceeded to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at UCLA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship in 2004 at the Division of Digestive Diseases at UCLA. He is currently a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Medical Association and American Association for Cancer Research.
